Why does my phone number keep getting rejected, even though it's in the correct format?

If you are having trouble entering your phone number, please try the following:


  • Close the current browser window.

  • Reopen our website and refresh the page (you can do this by clicking the circular arrow, or by highlighting your browser’s search bar and clicking the “Enter/Return” button on your computer).

  • Try again to enter your data into the Voter Information page, taking care not to leave any required fields blank.

  • For the phone number: choose your country flag first, then enter your number (do not enter your country code or any "+" sign; the flag does this for you).

  • Double check that you have also completed the birth date, gender and all other required fields.


If that doesn't work, please submit a question to our Voter Help Desk and include your phone number. We will email and/or call you as needed.
